Day 6…. 15th March 2012….Thursday….Pororo Park, D-Cube City…..Jaksal Chicken Ilsan
D-Cube City is the tallest & largest landmark in Southwestern part of Seoul open in 2011, forever changing the city skyline. The multi cultural space offers a shopping mall, the 5-star Sheraton Seoul D-Cube City hotel, apartments, offices, an art centre with a large theatre of 1,300 seats & the D-cube city park (33,000 sq metres)
D-Cube City also houses the Pororo Park on the 4th Floor. Pororo the Little Penguin (뽀롱뽀롱 뽀로로) is well known computer-generated animated cartoon series. The adventures of Pororo and his friends can now be seen in 80 nations. It is also airs in English in the Disney Channel (Asia) in which the kids watch the episode everyday. In South Korea, Pororo has become famous among preschool kids and children and has earned the nickname “Pororo the president”(뽀통령). The series revolves around the adventures of Pororo and his friends who live in the snowy village of Porong Porong Forest, who often encounter challenges and learn practical and moral lessons in each episode

We did some shopping & had lunch here. We return to the hotel to drop our shopping then adjourn to Jaksal Chicken in Ilsan. Jaksal Chicken Ilsan outlet is operated by Kim Hyun Joong’s mother & houses some of his memorabilia, a sort of Kim Hyun Joong’s Hard Rock Cafe

Mrs Kim – Kim Hyun Joong’s mother was in & showed us to our table & took our order. We requested her to have her photo taken, she politely decline the photo op but invites to take as many as we want of the shop. Mrs Kim took extra care to wait on our table & even adjusted the heater for the kids, as she was fascinated by them since not many children often drop by at the outlet
