Dong Yi (Dawn) / 동이 (同伊)

Dong Yi stars Han Hyo Joo, Ji Jin Hee, Lee So Yeon, and Bae Soo Bin. It was aired on MBC (KR) from March 22, 2010 to October 12, 2010 every Monday & Tuesday at 21:55.

Set during the reign of King Sukjong in the 19th ruler Joseon dynasty, the story focuses on Dong Yi, a water maid who gains the trust of Queen Inhyeon and favour by the king. Dong Yi becomes a concubine with the rank of Sook-bin and bears a son who will later become the 21st king of Joseon, Yeongjo.

For majority of its run, Dong Yi leads the Monday & Tuesday night on the TV ratings chart. The average rating of its entire run is in the lower 20s percent, the highest rated primetime/trendy drama for MBC in 2010.

    Dong Yi casts (Ji Jin Hee, Han Hyo Joo, Bae Soo Bin, Lee So Yeon) to visit Taiwan on the the 14th of this month. They’ll stay there for three days (unsure if they’ll visit Hong Kong afterwards).

    i love dongyi esp. her partners where in there emphasis is to show to the televiewers the essence of a good person,being a responsible to work eventhough there is a struggle esp. to become a lovable person to his/her husband and wife…….
