The next morning, Lee Woo Ju gets ready for work finds Kang Jung Tae’s journal at the counter. Kang Tae Min left it for her before he left for France. Lee Woo Ju reads the journal

Lee Woo Ju: Method of wine making

Lee Woo Ju flips through pages as she browsed. In France, Kang Tae Min drives to Chataeu Laboure to meet with the Madame of the Chataeu. The scene was identical to the 1st episode where Kang Tae Min brings the bouquet of flower the rings the gate bell. As usual he sees a draw curtain in the window above. After waiting a while, he leaves the bouquet at the doors step & about to leave. The door opens automatically. The valet comes out. Kang Tae Min finally into the Chataeu as a guest as he ponder at the window after being patience in is escapades with the Madame of the Chataeu. Madame of the Chataeu comes in to the room & Kang Tae Min greets her. All conversation is conducted in French

Kang Tae Min: I am from Korea….

Madame of the Chataeu: I know, Monsieur Kang

Lee Woo Ju: It is just bias. Sunlight & Terroir (soil) is of course said to be important for the cultivation of the wine, however it is also important is the wine maker

Kang Tae Min: As you have said there are already a thousand people who had said this before you & had gives it a try & yet until now it is still the same as before. It is not just you; there are many expert wine makers out there

Phew! In the end I finally able to completed these summaries without much of a delayed. It took some effort to drag my feet to the computer to get this done after the holidays that we have with Christmas, New Year & Chinese New Year, also thanks for the scriptwriter strike & the Seollal holidays for me to play catch up. I bid this drama goodbye. I can’t say very much to other summary “Boy Before Flowers” in which I have to crack my knuckle & getting going

In the subject of Wine appreciation whether traditional or French wine is almost on par to be respect alike, we should pride one or prejudice against the other

I still don’t like that drama series especially happens most often in Korean drama that had to do the ending of the drama in the beginning of a filming schedule. This is clearly seen in the drama “On Air” The scene drama looks really disjointed as the chemistry & the repoire between Han Hye Ji & Kim Joo Hyuk hasn’t make their established their acquaintance. It will be great if there is someone life a dialogue director who coached them to bring out the essences out of them but sadly there is no such things in a Korean drama. I also can’t understand where the budget that they claimed went to. Maybe French film crew & the location fees to shoot in all the Château must be expensive & paying in Euros. The locations that they went that was credited was Château D’Agasse, Château Smith Haut Lafitte, and Château Ausone. Not all of them are vineyard. If my memory serves me correctly Château D’Agasse is a holiday villa. The procession of wine making wasn’t seen either. The harvest season is also not featured just close up of Lee Woo Ju picking grapes. It seems to imply that they had a great French holiday at the country side of Bordeaux & Paris

Château Smith Haut Lafitte the Cathiard family has restored the reputation of this 55 hectare property. This has been at the cost of considerable investments in the wine houses, but they have also set up a luxury hotel, a Michelin star restaurant and a wine-therapy institute. Recent vintages show excellent potential and the whole domaine has enjoyed spectacular progress over the last ten years.

Chateau Ausone is a very old property with medieval historical significance. In it is more recent history, the wines from the chateau suffered from lower quality and a lessened reputation in the middle of the 20th century. Ausone began to return to it’s historical position of greatness with the hiring of Pascal Delbeck in the 1970s. Delbeck was in charge of Ausone beginning with the 1976 vintage. As of 1995, he no longer played a role in the winemaking but remained in charge of the vineyards. The property had been owned for generations by a partnership of the Dubois-Challon family and the Vauthier family. In the mid 1990s, the Vauthier family gained sole ownership of Chateau Ausone. Alain Vauthier controls all aspects of the winemaking. He began using Michel Rolland as the consulting wine-maker beginning with the 1995 vintage.
