Don’t be so over anxious & apply & plaster the band aid straight away when it is wet. You need to wait for the antiseptic to be at least dried to plaster the band aid…also I have written a list of few post surgical symptoms that you might experience. If this symptom should occur, please seek consult. It is really pitiful to have suffered illness all alone. The cure for constipation, need to take in fiber like vegetable, don’t leave your stomach empty, need to take your meals regularly. If it is possible to take in more roughage & less consume of meat

The skull base forms the floor of the cranial cavity and separates the brain from other facial structures. This anatomic region is complex and poses surgical challenges for otolaryngologists and neurosurgeons alike. Working knowledge of the normal and variant anatomy of the skull base is essential for effective surgical treatment of disease in this area. The 5 bones that make up the skull base are the ethmoid, sphenoid, occipital, paired frontal, and paired parietal bones. The skull base can be subdivided into 3 regions: the anterior, middle, and posterior cranial fossae. The petro-occipital fissure subdivides the middle cranial fossa into 1 central component and 2 lateral components. This article discusses each region, with attention to the surrounding structures, nerves, vascular supply, and clinically relevant surgical landmarks.

Chordoma is a rare tumor that usually occurs in the spine and base of the skull. It is a malignant tumour that grows fairly slowly. It can spread to other organs, usually the lungs. It represents only about 1 percent of all malignant bone tumors. Most chordomas occur at the base of the spine (sacrum), in the tailbone (coccyx) or at the base of the skull (40 percent), but they can occur other places in the spine.

Extended Subfrontal Transbasal approach is a multimodality approach to craniopharyngioma, including minimally invasive stereotactic techniques, micro-surgery, conventional radiotherapy, and radiosurgery has been recommended to tackle craniopharyngioma aggressively while minimizing harm to the patient. With all approaches, there are varying levels of risk for endocrinological morbidity, vascular complications, neuropsychological and behavioral disorders, neurocognitive disorders, and learning disabilities. Although many treatment options are available, total tumor resection remains the most commonly performed procedure for treatment of craniopharyngioma, and it is still believed to give the patient the greatest chance of having an independent and productive life with low risk of recurrences. The prefer the subfrontal transbasal approach for resection of these tumours

Extreme lateral transcondylar approach (ELTC) for treating with lesions in the anterolateral foramen magnum, upper cervical spine and cerebellopontine angle reaching up to jugular foramen. The tumours included meningiomas, neurofibromas, chondrosarcoma, epidermoid and aneurysmal bone cyst. The approach was used alone, in combination with retrolabyrinthine presigmoid approach in a patient with lower cranial nerve neurofibroma extending extracranially through the jugular foramen, or in combination with partial C1-C3 laminectomy in two patients with meningiomas situated anterolateral to the cord from the foramen magnum to C3. In patients with extradural vertebral artery (VA) entrapment by a chondrosarcoma and aneurysmal bone cyst respectively, the vertebral artery was ligated distal to the tumour. This technique provided a wide surgical exposure with direct visualization of the tumour-anterior cord interface, early proximal control of the VA and preservation of lower cranial nerves.
