Woman of Matchless Beauty, Park Jung Gum

I watched up to Episode 4 of this drama with Episode 2 missing but it looks good enough to hold my interest

Lee Hye Sook (she married that grandfather in Hearts of Nineteen) – Yoo Ra’s mother

What an interesting plot because Park Jung Gum is actually the daughter of a rich man but her new stepmother formerly the housemaid seduced Jung Gum’s father and got him to divorce his first wife.

Jung Gum divorced her husband who had an affair. I guess she will not tolerate it because of what happened to her own parents. She has a teenage son about 16 years old at least

Yoo Ra who I think is the stepmother’s own daughter (no blood relation to Jung Gum) lived a life of loose morals and her mother is trying her to get her to be decent by getting her go for a marriage meeting with Han Kyung Soo, a human rights lawyer. He seems to be kind of mysterious why he agreed to go through a relationship with the wilful Yoo Ra.

I do not know what is the arrangement but Yoon Joon who is an extremely kind but poor doctor has a elder brother staying in the same house with Jung Gum’s mother so Jung Gum and Yong Joon met all the time when they visit them. Later, it looked like that Jung Gum and her son stayed with her mother in the same house with Yoon Joon’s brother as well

His father was entertaining the visiting Kyung Soo in an obvious meet the parents session and stepmother called Jung Gum to help out with dinner. I think it is more like making a maid out of Jung Gum by stepmother. After she served coffee, Jung Gum sat down with them and Kyung Soo asked to have Jung Gum introduced. Stepmother told him that Jung Gum is nobody special but Jung Gum sat steadfast as it is her right. Yoo Ra made a scene and dished out the dirty linen for Kyung Soo to hear, obvious given the details that her mother drove the mother and daughter pair from the house.

Jung Gum added onto the scene by telling her father that she is the rightful daughter of this household and that her mother was legally married to him and her name is in the family registry Her father slapped her and she screamed out loud and in turn smashed her fist onto a glass cupboard shattering it.

Kyung Soo took his leave after watching an embarassing family feud. He saw Jung Gum crying and saw her right hand was bleeding. He tried to give her his handkerchief to stop the bleeding but Jung Gum took no notice and wiped the blood off onto her pants.

She got a call from her team and as she left her bag in the house she did not have her car keys. She got Kyung Soo to drive her to the scene of the crime and he saw Jung Gum in an action fight bringing down the thugs.

Yoo Ra must have her insecurities as well and she was awfully mad when she see Kyung Soo and Jung Gum together but actually Kyung Soo and Jung Gum met by accident at the police station.

Jung Gum and Kyung Soo did share some stories of their past. You can see that his interest perks up when he meet up Jung Gum they often seemed to bump into each other. I guess maybe because they shared similar painful past. I am not sure what it is in Kyung Soo’s past is like but he is extremely tolerant of Yoo Ra’s bad behaviour.

Episode 2 has a scene where Jung Gum is undercover, dancing in a dance club or a striptease club and it looked so funny

How is it so far?

I think Kyung Soo and Yoo Ra is a disaster waiting to happen but the next epiosde he did get her a diamond ring. Maybe he is going ahead in marrying her. Kyung Soo seems to be at ease in Jung Gum’s company

Because they are meeting so often you have stepmother warning Jung Gum not to get involve with Kyung Soo. People who done bad things is afraid of the same thing happening to them

I liked that Jung Gum who is tough with the thugs and she will not stand for any nonsense dished out to her by Stepmother, Yoo Ra or her own father but she is sensitive mother when she cooked and clean for her family

Not much on Yong Joon except that he is a really nice doctor who will take tokens of food as his medical fee. It still does not show now that Yong Joon or Jung Gum recognised each other as their first love as per the synopsis. You konw sometimes the things written in the synopsis does not materialise like Young Soo and Sae Mi having a child out of wedlock, we did not get to see that

However, Jung Gum’s mother is trying to matchmake Jung Gum to him. I think if Jung Gum goes with Kyung Soo right now will formed a triangle love while if she goes with Yong Joon, I believe there is a lot of comical situation as he is rather funny himself.
