[9.29.07] Golden Bride Episode 27
Hoobae finally knows that Jun-woo is a married man, she jokingly says you can ask me on a date and Jun-woo has this uncomfortable look. She notices his ring and ask if it’s a couple ring, you all know his respond. She goes to the ladies room and tear up the planner she bought for him…
Mr. Kim gives up the thoughts of having anything to do with Jin-joo. He did send an investigator to look up Jun-woo and his family, but by the end of the episode, looking at his current ‘happy family’, he’s having second thoughts and he tears up all the pics of Jin-joo.
I didn’t expect Jin-joo to knows about the identity of her dad so soon, I thought it would take at least another 10 episodes. But from the preview, it looks like it’s happening tomorrow, but the catch is Mr. Kim doesn’t want to acknowledge her…!

[9.30.07] Golden Bride Episode 28
JJ confronts Mr. Kim but he flat out deny that he’s not her dad. He says he has never been to Vietnam. So Jin-joo calls the Aunt and she says Mr. Kim has never been to Vietnam. Somewhere in the middle, Aunt asks Jin-joo for the tape of Mr. Kim singing and by the end of the episode, she knows that Mr. Kim is Jin-joo’s dad.
Jin-joo comes to Jun-woo’s office and there she meets his Hoobae. They have a convo to which Jin-joo feels uncomfortable when the hoobae I think says (unintentionally) about Jun-woo’s preference of his ideal girl.
Jin-joo and Jun-woo got into an argument. Next day, she goes to the salon and has a makeover, Jun-woo didn’t recognize her at first when she comes home..(lol.)
ratings: nationwide: 22.3% (3rd), seoul: 23.3% (3rd)
The ratings are good, it enters the top ten every week.

I seen Episode 23 with subs and I must say Jun Woo’s love for his wife is very steadfast. Telling her that whether she is dead or alive, she has to be with him. I thought that is so sweet and mother-in-law’s assurance is great too. She is right a girl with education and rich family does not make a good daughter-in-law. I am sure she refering to an example like Ji Young.

I would imagine that it will be difficult for Mr Kim to acknowledge Jin Joo much that he would like to. The truth could send Mrs Kim suicidal again and the whole family will be disarray. I suppose when he find out that Jin Joo is happily married, he may take the coward way out. But what about the woman who loved him in Vietnam and is going blind. I guess that is why the mother has to come to Korea eventually.
I am happy that the Aunt knows who Jin Joo’s father really is in the end, at least that will give Jin Joo a chance to learn the secret of making traditional rice cakes as Jin Joo is now a blood relative. She will probably passed the knowledge to Jin Joo in a way to amends for her nephew’s negligence. Poor Ji Young will loose in this battle to Jin Joo as the Aunt can’t be bother with her or give her a spare thought.
I cannot wait for the raw episode to be loaded up so I can see the hoobae’s face when Jun Woo tells her that he is married. Poor girl, she had been really waiting in the wings for Jun Woo but as you said before, a step too late.
I may think that what hoobae says about Jun Woo’s preference of women is in the past now as the woman for him now is Jin Joo regardless whatever form she is in. Hoobae has not seen him for 3 years as well. What does she know of him now?
But I do agree it must be time for Jin Joo to be updated. We have all seen what she can looked like all dressed and dolled up.

From the preview, it looks like Mrs. Kim will know about Mr. Kim’s promises to the woman in Vietnam. Oh, and Mr. Kim ends up in the hospital bed by next week eps. They don’t show too much of JJ & JW’s in the preview, great, then everything will come in surprise.
I don’t think hoobae is gonna give up easily, from the look on her face, she still harbor those hopes. I would like to think I’m wrong, because she’s too beautiful and educated to be a home wrecker. I thought maybe they could get the assistant and hoobae together, a happy ending for all.
Regards to what hoobae knows about Junwoo’s now, true, dont’ think she knows about his illness in the past three years and how life had been hell for him until Jin-joo comes along, she made him appreciate how wonderful the world and she’ll always be that person, in Junwoo’s words. I must say, his words make my heart melt and loving him even more!
The makeover part is to boost her self-esteem, she changes for Jun-woo. It’s obviously had something to do with what the hoobae said, to some extent. Ha! She’s still mad at him from their argument the night before when she comes home, but finally gives in…
The meeting between the four of them is getting near………Ji-young and Young-min are in bliss at the moment, but it doesn’t look like it’ll last long. Ji-young looks troubled from next week’s preview.

I know of a lawyer who broke up a man’s marriage and the sad part of it was the man’s wife just got pregnant. Do you know what he told his wife when she informed him of this? Go and get an abortion!
This type of a man makes me want to cut a certain part of him and put it into a food processor to become mince meat.
I think she is going to at least attempt or else no excitement to the drama but our Jun Woo will not be tempted. To him, Jin Joo is his lifeline.
Did you note that the title has this fairy and waves her wand on it? Reminds me of Disney’s Tinkerbell before a World of Disney show during my childhood. I believe Jin Joo in the eyes of the Kang family is that fairy.
I absolutely love to see and hear all the endearing words Jun Woo says to his wife to ward off her fears because of her father abandonment right up to the fact she thinks herself not worthy of Jun Woo.
Strangely, Ji Young and Young Min’s happiness is always shortlived before another crisis comes along.
I thought Mrs Kim never dare to ask Mr Kim what happen to the years he was away from the family. Aunt did asked her whether she knows of Mr Kim having another woman at that time.
I am really waiting patiently for the 2 episodes on veoh.com to see it in motion.

Eh? Did Hoobae flashed her ‘assets’? I did not take note of it but I notice she is very well dressed and furthermore has the desk next to Jun Woo. She probably arranged for it to be so. It must be aspiring to sit next to a good-looking man. What a motivation to work! I don’t have one male colleague in the office that meet the good looking criteria but I got a rather macho looking boss who is currently just became available. He is a divorcee.
Yesterday I did a presentation at an Advertising Agency and they have got a dishy looking Managing Director at 36 years old. Another younger man on my list again.

Somehow, I never ‘tackle’ male colleagues at work. Normally, I ‘tackle’ men at social functions. I have been out at most on a few dinner dates with some male Clients but they were not ‘husband’ materials though. That at most will say about my office ‘romance’ experience that I ever had when I was available to play the ‘field’.
Your male colleague is so sweet to call his girlfriend at the end of the day. My husband does it sometimes too, asking me how’s work and how are the boys behaving at home. I never do that sort of thing though. My love is always come with an action, never have been one with a lot of words

I agreed with you that Hoobae did not mean to be cruel when she make comments that she is shocked that a guy like Jun Woo’s looks and qualification had to marry a foreign wife via an arranged marriage. Hoobae must have thought she could have been a better candidate.
I really like Aunt beating some sense into Mr. Kim. He is such a coward. I thought the song is quite common but Aunt recognised it something so familiar with it. It is the same song that Jun Woo sang and played the piano for her.
I think the Kim family have to be strong to sail passed this rough period. I wonder what is Ji Young so worried about from that telephone conversation.
I gather Jun woo’s elder sister got herself pregnant? What a loud mother-in-law she is going to have. There is more baby story when Jun Woo’s younger sister get into the same state as well. I wander when is Jin Joo’s turn? She getting pregnant will bring a lot of happiness to the Kang family, I am sure

It will not be easy, furthermore she turns out to be rival-in-love’s daughter-in-law. They have become sort of in-laws the first round then later when younger son wants to marry younger sister.
Can the two get married seeing that they have become related by marriage? Of course, physically it should not be a problem but Korean drama make a lot of ‘hooha’ over two brothers marrying two sisters. I saw that in 18 vs 29 when the Grandfather refused the younger grandson’s girlfriend because her sister is married to the elder grandson hence making her related.
I watch the Hoobae finding out that Jun Woo is married twice. Jun Woo is so happy at the mention of his wife. He really proud of Jin Joo too. The poor gril really took it hard. She never even had a chance at Jun Woo at all.

See how the two families Kang and Kim live their lives. The Kang are so harmonious even they have little compare to the rich Kims but with additional frustrations.
I cannot wait for the weekend to be here. Anyway, I am giving a birthday lunch for my son Joshua and my husband, Ben. The two of them ave their birthdays in October. Joshua wants to have ‘Power Rangers’ party.
We will get him a cake with ‘Red Ranger’ on it and play ‘Power Rangers’ VCD during the party.

Very anxious to know how Golden Bride conclude, hopefully not too rush. There are still a whole lot left to be filled with just 22 episodes.
We know that it’s gonna be with everyone forgiving each other and everyone will be happy. But one thing I do not wish to see is Jin-joo and Ji-young being all close and friendly, at least ends with a bit of realism touch to it. I can’t imagine them talking to each other even though they’ll be family. Can you stand talking to your husband’s ex? Eh!

Ji Young wasn’t keen even to learn to make the traditional rice cakes. She got some chef to make it and Aunt scolded her for passing someone else’s work for hers. Ji Young just want Aunt to endorsed the company’s food products. Aunt must be a connoisseur in Korean rice cakes.
Aunt actually is looking for an ‘heir’ to learn her recipes but she wasn’t keen to teach Jin Joo because she was a foreigner which Jin Joo gave her back by saying which country she should be from. Vietnam, she is a Korean and in Korea, she is Vietnamese. Maybe in Jin Joo she will have her ‘heir’. Jin Joo makes rice cakes all the time for Aunt to try. Jun Woo is not keen for Jin Joo to work in the rice cake factory as he think it is a lot of hard work making traditional rice cakes. It was so nice of him to worry that Jin Joo will be tire herself out.
Obviously, Ji Young will not like it when Aunt favours Jin Joo while she never got two hoots from Aunt. I find that Ji Young likes the attention on herself. Of course, she is holder of a Masters Degree and all. She is so eager to prove herself. She did not like it when Aunt told her that withher business plan, the business will close in 3 months. Big blow to her ego on that statement.
We just got the raw uploads for Episode 27 & 28 from Veoh.com only yesterday itself. The user was quite prompt with Episode 25 & 26 and I saw it like a Monday and Tuesday after the weekend broadcast. But then I had your Youtube segments to quest the ‘thirst’. This last 2 episodes the user is a little late with it. So you can decide whether you want to upload it or not. The subs version is up to Episode 23 and I think Episode 24 is pending.
The flickr pictures are great too but of course there is no moving visual and sound but your summary is a great help. The bare minimum if I cannot not have anything else is to have just your summary of the episodes.
What you have given me before is fantastic and I had no problem viewing and enjoying the episodes. So can I ask a big FAVOUR from you is that to give me the link website once you get it?

I read that 3 episodes of Golden Bride will eb released. Unfortunately, Epiosde 24 on mysoju is not on veoh so I have to watch it online when I am home as I can’t download the episode she has got uploaded
